The Aventon Soltera is a love letter to the bicycles of Aventon’s past. With the Soltera, we find a light-weight, aluminium alloy frame with a riding position more commonly found on road bikes.

Efficiency

On the thumb throttle alone, you can expect the Soltera’s 350W motor to take you roughly 32km at speeds of up to 32kph (7-speed version). Turning the pedal assist on and putting in some work yourself can see you cover up to 100km on a single charge.

The Soltera is a light-weight bicycle, so if you do happen to run out of battery on a cycle tour, there’s probably no better electric bike to be using.

Hill Climb Ability

The 350W motor is a little less powerful than the motors found on other Aventons in the range, and while the Soltera’s weight is significantly lower, its hill climb ability will require you to use one of the pedal assist models.

Brakes

Depending on which version you choose, the Soltera comes with two brake setups. The single speed bike continues its understated charm coming with clamp-style brakes. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they aren’t powerful enough to stop you quickly, however. The Soltera can come to a complete stop from 32kph in around 4 metres.

Upgrading to the 7-speed version also brings mechanical disk brakes to the Soltera, improving its overall stopping distance.

LCD Display

The Soltera’s display is lifted from the Aventon Aventure, and features a coloured display that shows all the riding information you need. Speed, trip length, pedal assist level and battery percentage are all present.

Accessories

The Soltera also comes with integrated front & rear lights, with the rear lights also acting as brake lights. Plus, it can be accessorised with fenders & baskets to make it a little more practical.

Frame

The Soltera’s frame is constructed from double-butted aluminium alloy, with the integrated battery concealed within the downtube.

Like all other bikes in the Aventon range, the Soltera comes in Step Over & Step Through variants.
