Aventon was founded in 2012 by JW Zhang with a vision to use the design and function of bicycles to transform urban mobility.

What started out as a one-man operation grew into a highly successful manufacturing company that released one award-winning bike after another. 

Then, in 2018, after realising how e-bikes can make e-mobility more accessible to the general public, the company pivoted into becoming one of the pioneers of the electric bike market.

The year 2020 also marked the company’s foray into global expansion, moving from their first warehouse in LA into a much bigger facility in Ontario, CA, doubling their fleet, and increasing their presence across the world.

2019: Aventon Pace 350

Stepping after the original Aventon Pace’s success, the Aventon Pace 350 was a Class II e-bike that was equipped with a powerful 350W brushless motor that pushed it to reach top speeds of up to 32 kph. It came with features that were ahead of its time, including a throttle and pedal assist, wide tyres, and a large LCD display.

2020: Aventon Sinch

The Sinch was Aventon’s first folding electric bike. It was a Class II e-bike that reached top speeds of 32 kph and featured 5 levels of pedal assist. Aside from offering the usual benefits of a foldable bicycle, it also came with fat tyres, mechanical brakes, a suspension fork, and an integrated kickstand.

2021: Aventon Aventure

The arrival of the Aventure range, the brand’s second fat-tyre e-bike line, catapulted Aventon into higher levels of fame. It was ane-bike that could achieve a 45 kph top speed and featured 5 levels of pedal assist. Characterised by oversized 26-inch tyres, the Aventure effortlessly conquered all types of terrain, from city streets to country roads and beachlines. 

2022: Aventon Soltera

The Soltera was Aventon’s first single-speed electric bike—a lightweight yet powerful model that catered to the needs of commuters and urbanites.
