Essential for transporting kids

Works as expected, installed fairly easily (although some bolts needed a bit of encouraging into position). Keeps my children securely positioned in on the rear seat, with somewhere to hold on to safely and comfortably.

Safety and Stability

At a glance the handrail may appear to be an addition that would affect the manourability and cycling performance of the Abound. This is not the case in reality, you wouldn't even think it's there. The rail acts as the ultimate safety barrier for your little passenger allowing them to grip the soft handrail during their ride which is also shielded by and external proction rail so their hands are protected in case of a swipe or collision. My wife and experimented with a large Enviro bag and hessian sack (potato sack) using the hand rail to create a basket/cargo like structure on the back when using the cycle for shopping. This works a treat and literally triples your cargo storage.... We even managed to cart a full load of shopping and firewood for our fireplace at home. We highly rated this add-on and would recommend it as practicable and versatile addition to the Abound as it really enables you to use the cycle to its full potential and in a safest manner for passengers and cargo.
