DESCRIPTION
If you’ve been after an entry-level electric bike that gets you from A-Z, the Aventon Pace 350 Next-Gen should be top of your list. If you’d like something a little more specced-up, then the Aventon Pace 350 Next-Gen should still be top of your list.
Aventon’s attention to detail, eye-catching design, and mid-power motor have come together to produce one of the most accessible electric cruiser bikes around.
While not as powerful as its older sibling, the Pace 500 Next-Gen, the 350 is just as efficient with a maximum range of 65km on pedal assist level 1. Plus, with its reasonably low weight of 22kg, even if you do run out of battery on your trip, the Pace is easy enough to pedal like a regular bike.
The Frame on the Pace 350 is exactly the same as that found on the Pace 500. You’ll find the same single-butted aluminium alloy frame with integrated battery that’s capable of carrying up to 136kg in weight.

Braking
The Pace 350 comes with Tektro mechanical brakes as standard, which are capable of bringing this ride to a standstill from 20kph in just 3.5 metres. The slightly sweeping handlebars make it easy to control the bike during such a rapid stop.
The Pace 350 is advertised as a cruiser, and its intended use also covers commuting around town. Generally, the 350W motor is enough to get you around most of the hills you’d find in a standard Australia metro environment. Tougher hills are still mountable when using Pedal Assist Level 5.
The Pace 350 cuts out a unique place in the Australian e-bike market. It looks good. It’s fun. It’s efficient. It’s well-made. Cruising around town is comfortable and relaxing, and its well-ratioed pedal assist levels mean that you’ll never really struggle to get the thing moving.
The Pace 350 was voted by bicycling.com as the best affordable e-Bike in 2022, an award well-deserved. For manufacturers, building on a fan-favourite flagship product can be difficult. It attracts stronger scrutiny from those that loved the original, so reviews are judged harder. As such, manufacturers can push the boat out by trying to cram as many new features as possible, but that’s not what has happened here.
Aventon’s speciality involves making quality e-bikes, but it’s the little things such as the colour screen, integrated battery, integrated headlights, & puncture-proof tyres that truly make their bikes front-runners. What’s more, the Pace isn’t an expensive bike for what you get, and that, combined with Aventon’s overall approach to making e-bikes, makes sure you get a very, very good ride.
