Description
At a glance, the Navee N65 looks different. Whether that’s the tubular design, the thick 3” knobbly tyres, the large LCD display or its 2-point folding mechanism, it looks different from other e-scooters in the commuter class. It’s a strong-looking unit, and that’s largely because it is. Don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s heavy, however - despite its muscular build, the N65 weighs in at 23.5 kg.
The N65 doesn’t come with suspension, which is not uncommon among commuter scooters. However, the N65 comes with much larger tyres both in terms of width & height. These larger tyres help disperse impact and jolts, creating a smooth ride than other electric commuter scooters.
The Navee N65 has a two-point folding system. First, the stem folds parallel to the deck, which, on its own, is quite common. The N65 goes one step further, allowing riders to rotate the handlebars to similarly run parallel to the deck, which makes the N65 easier to carry & store.
This folding mechanism also means that when you receive the scooter, there is no assembly required. Simply unfold, pump up the tyres, charge, & go.
Thanks to its tubular design & wide deck, the Navee is one of the most solid-feeling electric scooters. There are no creaking or cracking sounds while riding, and the wide deck improves general stability. This is great for riders who aren’t that confident on e-scooters as it provides a generally smooth ride that tames the anxiety.
It can also support 120 kg of weight, making this an ideal ride for commuters who struggle to find a single-motor commuter scooter that can handle over 100 kg.
The motor in the Navee N65 is located in the front wheel, which is an unusual feature in an e-scooter. However, being located there means that riders are pulled forward rather than pushed. The result is a smoother acceleration and better balance.
A rarity for single-motor commuter e-scooters, the Navee can tackle inclines of up to 25°. This is ideal for riders that live in hilly areas that don’t want to spring for a dual-motor ride that weighs more.
The N65 is predominantly promoted as an electric scooter for commuting, and its features support that. Its folding mechanism makes it easier to carry onto public transport or store under desks. Its range is enough for a week of commuting without needing to be charged. Its riding modes allow you to adjust the speed limit depending on whether you’re riding through a park or on the road. The above-average weight limit means you can carry accessories & backpacks with ease. Overall, it’s a very efficient ride, so if you want to shave some time off your commute, you can’t go wrong with the Navee N65.
The Navee N65 came into the market and earned a nickname as the Ninebot-Max killer. Here was an e-scooter that came at a similar price to the Ninebot-Max. It went at a similar speed to the Ninebot-Max. It could travel the same distance on a single charge as the Ninebot Max, and it integrated with an app in the same way the Ninebot Max could.
The comparisons were thick and fast, with a surprising number of reviewers siding with the N65 due to its stronger frame, improved folding mechanism, and generally smoother ride. While the Ninebot-Max is a tough act to follow, the Navee N65 stands up on its own as a very capable and straightforward ride.

My 12 & 14 year old boys love their scooters!! They’re pretty hardy with thick tyres that are great on the dirt and curbs etc.
They get up to about 32k/hr and love cruising around.
