Great scooter, probably only bad thing is the stand is dangerous if you have to scoot for any amount of time. I cut my ankle on it but that may just be my awkwardness.
Use it every day too and from work saves time and money also you go door to door no more public transport! 👌
Firstly, Electric Kicks has amazing customer service, they are very responsive and helpful - I had initially ordered a different scooter but they gave me the option of changing to another scooter when my order was delayed (prior to Christmas). Chris was really clear and helpful and called me as well to advise and then gave me some options with some features outlined.
The Xiaomi Pro 2 is a really powerful scooter with a great range. It says up to 45km in range - however this is dependent on the weight of the rider and where you're riding. I weigh less and the scooter can go up to 60kms in range or even more if I don't thrash it. Additionally, the cruise control mode was so great, the headlight is strong and the disc break is powerful. It's also got a pretty wide base to stand on. With the weight limit, I don't need to worry about ever exceeding it. The scooter also goes very fast downhill sometimes up to 27, 28ks an hour - so be careful!
Anyway as for the downsides:
- You need to avoid updating the firmware as Xiaomi has removed cruise control as of 2.2.9.
- The scooter has no suspension so it is very rough sometimes.
- The scooter only has one form of brake - the disc brake.
- The bluetooth on the Xiaomi home app disconnects constantly.
- Language settings make no sense sometimes - why is it in spanish?
- It isn't waterproof so you cannot ride in the rain.
You just need to be aware of pedestrians, the footpaths and speed. Check your local laws.
